DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

My client is seek a Development Manager who will be part of a team responsible for the full system development lifecycle. It is to be expected that the successful candidate will play an active part in all stages of the lifecycle.
The position will require the candidate manage and participate in: requirements, analysis and design, development, testing, user training, deployment planning and support (level 2).

The objective of this project is to deliver significant productivity, timeliness and capacity improvements by re-engineering the Firm's exchange reconciliation process for Listed Derivatives Futures and Options products. This position will suit a skilled, enthusiastic, delivery-focused technician relishing the challenge of a high profile & complex project. It is an excellent opportunity to gain broad exposure to the Listed Derivatives front to back business processing and the technologies that support it.

Required skills:
  • Strong verbal and oral communication
  • Knowledge and experience of software development approaches
  • Knowledge and experience of system design approaches (including database design, client/server architectures, etc)
  • Relational databases: Sybase, DB2
Development Tools:
  • Java/Perl - Required
  • Platforms: Unix/Linux
  • Shell scripting, SQL server, Windows platform
  • Experience with Vendor Applications a plus
  • Listed Derivatives experience a plus but willing to train
